Time for an update on how I’m doing with my running.

I can say that I took a long, very long break, from October last year to around June this year. Today I finished a 7.91km run in 50m 32s which is a record for me—both in length and speed for longer runs. Most because of the running music I have purchased and been using since September last year—it’s really something else to run with this AudioFuel music.

So what is AudioFuel? It’s music that includes simple coaching and that have specific rhythm that varies throughout the run. Example of the coaching can be “you have now run this long and it’s this much left”, “the next track will be in this speed”, “use everything you got”, “take shorter strides if you need to”, and “only 20s left”. The last example is used in interval training and here the coaching really shines; it lets you step it up a gear when running just because of the coaching and you know when the interval ends because there is a countdown in the end. You should really try it. The rhythm is tailored to make you run faster or slower (there are 3 different versions of almost every “session”: slow, normal, fast) since you run to the rhythm. The music is also very easy to get into and it’s always easy to hear the rhythm.

As of today I have purchase three versions:
Rollercoaster (40min running, normal)
1h Marathon run (1h, normal)
Pyramid MAX 180 (~20min interval training, normal—this only exists in normal and fast) I really recommend this one!

When I have reached some personal goals with these I will buy the faster version—for now these are enough. I also have 2 free tracks that are about 26min long I think one of them is a faster version.

Not to forget, you can find all the music here: http://audiofuel.co.uk

I can also recommend using a sports tracker app for your iPhone, Android, Blackberry, or Windows Mobile Phone. I use http://endomondo.com which I think is great, you can set various things like regular workout, try to beat a record on a custom defined route, beat a friend, beat yourself (you need to buy the PRO version for this). It comes along with an optional audiocoach that tells how far and how fast you have been running, probably tells how much you have left and if you are behind in a beat yourself session, but I have never tested that since I use AudioFuel music.

As another fact I got both my free running music of AudioFuel from Endomondo in challanges that occur every month.

Happy running!
